Hospital del Mar, a renowned public institution in Barcelona, faced a monumental challenge earlier this year: reviewing 1,900 candidate files for various selection processes. Each application included not only a CV, but also extensive accompanying documentation—training certificates, diplomas, employment contracts, and even the Social Security employment history report. In many cases, each file exceeded 70 pages, sometimes reaching 120.
Traditionally, the Human Resources team handled this process manually, with a limited analysis capacity of just nine candidates per day, due to the volume and complexity of the documentation.
Faced with this situation, the hospital opted to incorporate artificial intelligence into the document analysis process. The implemented solution allowed the hospital to automatically read, interpret, and extract relevant information from each file, such as qualifications, proven experience, and key competencies. Thanks to this digital transformation, the HR team was able to increase its processing capacity to 50 cases per day, representing a productivity improvement of more than 450%. In just two months, the 1,900 cases were efficiently evaluated, maintaining rigorous and quality standards. The Director of Recruitment at Hospital del Mar, Natalia Sánchez noted: "This saved us months of work."
This case clearly illustrates how artificial intelligence can free staff from repetitive tasks, improve response times, and ensure a more consistent and objective evaluation of candidates.
In an environment where companies face an avalanche of data and documents, AI is no longer an option, it's a necessity. Human teams alone cannot compete with the speed and analytical capabilities that AI offers.
📌 Using AI is not just a competitive advantage; it's a matter of survival.
Talent AI offers a specific solution for the healthcare sector, capable of automatically analyzing resumes and accompanying documentation, identifying competencies, and generating evaluation reports in seconds.
